Deadly Dance/Divine Dance A Journey into Freedom

This book is written not simply as an autobiography. Martha Le Valley hopes that the reader can see through her protest and pain, and be enlightened by the grand march for change that her students and she have embarked on. Her book presents urgent testimonials, illustrating women's capacity to lift themselves up from the pit of despair and into joyous living through consciousness of mind/body/spirit temples that we all own. Martha s book is about resurrection--hers and those of thousands of her students. She wants her readers to think of this book as a tiny thread in a soothing blanket of love that is gently bringing mankind together in peace.

A message from Martha

Martha with 3 of her students

"It has always been the prime function
of dance to supply the symbols
that move the human spirit forward."

I recognize…that all children are individuals
and learn in different ways.

Therefore, classes are
individualized and personalized
giving each child an opportunity
to develop their own greatest potential.

All classes are carefully graded and children progress according to their own developmental level. All transfer students are auditioned to ensure proper class placement in an environment where they can flourish.

I have a mission to:

Experienced dancers as they dance You are welcome in this school.

We offer exciting dance for everyone on all technical levels and in every age group.

To maintain our high caliber "learning environment', only students who conduct themselves with courtesy to others will be able to take class.

Students and parents must make commitments of regular attendance. This is very important for progress of measurable value. Dance - as it is taught in this school - is an ART FORM AND RESPECT FOR THIS CHALLENGING ART FORM IS DESIRABLE, IN ORDER TO MAKE PROGRESS POSSIBLE - regular attendance is at the top of the list of attributes to be aspired to.

Dancing with Martha LeValley is a great experience
By Renae Lichter

My two daughters, Ava and Madison, and I feel grateful to have had the pleasure of having Martha Le Valley as a teacher and mentor throughout the last fifteen years. It has been exciting to see my girls learn to challenge themselves artistically and mentally while also gaining an appreciation for the arts.

I feel the investment I have made in the Martha Le Valley School of Dance has definitely had an impact on my daughter’s educational growth. Decades of experience and education have refined Martha’s educational philosophy, which has aided her students to understand and manifest the connection between the mind and body in movement and in life. I find her originality, creativity, personal involvement and passion for dance is very rare in the dance industry we see today. My own experience dancing with Martha was one of the greatest I have had with a teacher. She is professional, challenging, committed, respectful and involved with her students and their families. In addition, my daughters have become beautiful artists and learned to gain a positive self image. They have grown as dancers and as individuals from the influence of Martha in their lives. Ava and Madison are now happy, poised young women.

I am forever grateful for the wonderful impression Martha Le Valley has made in my daughter’s lives. For more information visit www.marthalevalley.com
